On October 10, the Outer Circle Foundation will gather veterans, first responders, families, community leaders, and supporters for an evening with a clear purpose: honor those who have served and strengthen the support available when the uniform comes off.
Our gala, “Boots, Buckles & Black Tie: Under the Stars of the Frontier,” formerly known as the Blue Jean Ball, will bring Western spirit and formal elegance together at the Town of Y-Not. Guests can expect an evening built around connection, gratitude, and action: with frontier character, flexible style, and a mission that reaches far beyond one night.
This is a fundraiser supporting the REBOOT Trauma Recovery Program and the critical mental health resources Outer Circle Foundation provides to veterans, first responders, and their families.
Because no hero should have to fight the next battle alone.
An Evening That Honors Service: and Supports the Road Ahead
Military service and first responder work demand courage under pressure. But the effects of that service can continue long after the call ends, the deployment is over, or the gear is put away.
Post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, grief, isolation, family strain, and transition challenges do not always show on the outside. Many veterans and first responders become experts at carrying heavy things quietly. Their families often carry those burdens too.
Outer Circle Foundation exists to meet people in that reality: not with empty promises, but with practical resources, compassionate support, and a community that understands the cost of service.
The gala will help expand that work through the REBOOT Trauma Recovery Program and related support services. Funds raised will help provide access to:
- Free or no-cost mental health resources for eligible veterans, first responders, and families
- Trauma recovery support designed around the unique experiences of military and emergency service
- Crisis intervention and suicide prevention resources
- Counseling referrals and specialized care, including EMDR and other trauma-informed therapies
- Peer support and family support services
- Holistic options such as equine, music, and art therapy
- Guidance for veterans and first responders navigating career and life transitions

Western Style With a Serious Mission
Boots, Buckles & Black Tie: Under the Stars of the Frontier, also known to many as the Blue Jean Ball, is more than a theme. It is an invitation to show up with purpose and have some fun with it.
The dress code is intentionally flexible. Come as you wish: full black tie, blue jeans with a bow tie, a cowboy hat and boots, a gown, a sharp suit, or your own mix of formal and frontier style. Guests do not need to fit one look. The point is to show up for the mission.
The style creates the setting. The people create the meaning.
At the center of the night will be the veterans, first responders, and families whose strength continues long after their service is recognized. The gala gives supporters an opportunity to stand with them in a direct and tangible way.
The evening will be primarily indoors, with some time outdoors weather permitting. That means guests can enjoy the atmosphere comfortably while still getting a little of the frontier under-the-stars feel if conditions allow.
This is not about putting heroes on a pedestal and walking away. It is about making sure they have somewhere to turn when they need help. It is about creating pathways to healing before a crisis becomes a tragedy. It is about giving families support instead of asking them to figure everything out alone.
